Gospel of the day…

Tuesday 10/ENE/12
Gospel of the day

Mk 1: 21-28.

There are demons.

Jesus entered Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, he went to the synagogue and began teaching. All were astonished at his teaching, he taught them as one having authority and not as the scribes. And there were in the synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, who began to shout: “What you want from us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are-the Holy One of God. ” But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Shut up and get out of this man.” The evil spirit shook him violently and, with a shriek, came out of that man. All were amazed and asked one another: “What is this? It teaches a new way, full of authority gives orders to evil spirits, and they obey him! “. And his fame spread rapidly everywhere in the whole region of Galilee.

Jesus has power over the spirits of darkness, and we must go to him to be free from their attacks. The Lord has taught us with his own life, how to beat the demons. He was prepared with forty days of fasting and prayer, and wants us to prepare ourselves to the mission that everyone has in this world, also by penance and prayer, because these are the two weapons which the enemy fears. And besides, we must be vigilant and know that the devil was presented to the Lord the last day of fasting, when his forces were already at the limit, and there was that tempted him. So we need to know that the devil will present its temptations when we find weak, not when we are in the fullness of the forces, it is cowardly and cunning. Ready to temptation and take strength in prayer in times of peace.

Let us ask Our Lady to defend us in this battle in which our eternal salvation is at stake, and she taught us to defeat the enemy hell.

Jesus, Mary, I love you, save souls.
